The carrot cake is a true delight during weight loss, which you can indulge even in the evening without disturbing your plan to lose weight. I am going to present also how many calories and macros it contains, for you to be absolutely conscious what you are eating.
Let's see what you need for it.
Carrots: 500 g
Eggs: 2 large
Egg whites: 1 large
Plain Yogurt: 30 g (humped tablespoon)
Oat bran: 60 g
Cinnamon: 1 tsp
Honey: 3 tbsp
Dried cranberries: 50 g
Baking soda: 1 tsp
Baking powder: 2 tsp
Cocoa powder: 2 tbsp
Preparation: easier couldn't have been...
1. Grate the carrots
2. Mix the eggs, yogurt, oat bran, cinnamon, honey, baking soda, cocoa and baking powder with a mixer.
3. Add the carrots to above mixture and mix again.
4. Add the cranberries and mix with a spoon. ( I usually mix with a spoon, because I want the cranberries or any other fruit, you might be adding remain intact, not to get sliced or broken. The cake will look better and the taste won't get “lost”)
Put in a preheated oven and bake for 30 minutes at 180 degrees Celsius. Et voila! Ready!
